Kayleigh Kinross O’Neill is the first-ever Green councillor for the Forth ward, where she was elected in 2022. She currently holds the Transport & Environment portfolio for the Edinburgh Green Councillor Group.
Originally from Motherwell, Kayleigh moved to Edinburgh for university and has since worked for Euan’s Guide and Inclusion Scotland. She continues to work part-time for Lorna Slater MSP in the Scottish Parliament. She also sits on the Disabled Greens representative group committee. In 2023 she was appointed the Green representative on COSLA’s Barriers to Elected Office special interest group.
In her ward and across the city Kayleigh advocates for better accessibility, stronger engagement, and greener values. She is vocal on issues of pavement parking, dropped curb access, and other barriers that disabled and elderly people face in their daily lives.
