Description
Shiatsu is a form of gentle bodywork given one-to-one. The recipient lies or sits in a warm therapy room, fully clothed, and the Shiatsu practitioner touches with hands or fingers according to the request/needs of the receiver.
Shiatsu is for anyone – from birth to death – except during first three months of pregnancy (instead a class can be given for one or both parents). If a baby or child under 16, the parent or an adult carer must be present.
The session lasts for an hour to an hour and a quarter (including health questionnaire) and usually takes place in Granton. There are steps up to door and room – so if the person is unable to climb, then session can be done in own home.
