Edinburgh, Lothians and Borders May Day march and rally

Saturday 2 May @ 11:30 am - 2:00 pm
May Day march down Edinburgh's High Street, with pipe band and banners of organisations including May Day Committee and Living Rent

All Together: Fighting for peace, solidarity, social justice, a sustainable future and an end to racism and all forms of oppression.

This year’s march takes place 100 years after the British General Strike of 1926.

  • Assemble 11:30am at Johnston Terrace (campaign groups) or Castle Hill (unions)
  • March to the Pleasance, 12 noon
  • Rally at Pleasance Theatre, 1pm

The City of Edinburgh Unison Pipe Band will lead the march followed by trade union contingents, then the Stockbridge Pipe Band and campaign groups.

At the Pleasance there will be toilets, a café and campaign stalls. The rally starts upstairs (above the café) at 1pm. There is a lift up to the hall.
