Green Talk and Branch Meeting

Green Talk: If our crops fail, we fail
Accelerating climate change threatens almost every part of our society, with farming being arguably impacted most severely. Droughts, heavy rains and season changes already impact our food production and worse is still to come.
But there are practical steps we can take as individuals, communities and nations to help address the issue. Take part in our Green Talk to learn about them.
We’re be joined by Cora Moran, researcher at the Center for World Indigenous Studies and author of ‘If our crops fail, we fail: Farming, Climate Change and how you can make a difference‘. Talking with Daniel Milligan and Jo Phillips (Scottish Greens).
Break
There is a break during meetings, and we offer tea and coffee with plant-based milk and a biscuit, including a vegan option. Water is available on request. Donations for tea/coffee/biscuits are welcome.
Branch Meeting
The Green Talk will be followed by May’s Branch Meeting – details to be confirmed.
Accessibility
Most of Quaker Meeting House building is wheelchair-accessible with step-free entry, a lift to the main floors, and accessible toilets.

If you need any more information, or have any ideas about any aspect of access or inclusion improvements that we can make at our events, please tell us.
We publish events and consultations in our calendar which we hope will be of interest to our members and supporters. We strive to be accurate in these listings, so please contact us if you see an error or problem. The organisers of third-party events (coded blue) are mostly unconnected to us, and we have no control over these.
