Edinburgh Branch Meeting – Restoring Scottish Nature
Meeting the Challenges of Restoring Scotland’s Nature
In the next few branch meetings, we’ll be hearing from a range of speakers on the topics we think will matter most in the Holyrood election campaign between now and May 2026.
This month we’ll be focusing on Nature Restoration and hearing from Lorna Slater MSP on her vision for the actions we need to take after the Nature Environment Bill. We’ll also be joined by Peg Shaw (Fauna & Flora) and Charlotte Maddix (The Rewilding Scotland Alliance) to share their thoughts on how we meet the challenge of restoring Scotland’s nature from a community and third sector perspective.
Please note our new time of 7pm start. Non-members are welcome to join us for this speaker session.
Branch Meeting
Our members’ meeting from 8.10pm to 9pm will be a chance to hear an update on how our Councillor Group are engaging in the Edinburgh Council budget process and share your thoughts on this.
Accessibility
Our aim is to have branch meetings that are both in-person and online.
This in-person meetings take place at The Quaker Meeting House. The Meeting House is fully accessible with a ramp at the front door, a lift to all floors and accessible toilets. Induction loop facilities are available in the main rooms.
Online meetings are on Zoom and have closed captions enabled. Look out for details of how to join the online meetings in your monthly member e-news and reminder email.
If you need any more information, or have any ideas about any aspect of access or inclusion improvements that we can make at our events, please tell us.
We publish events and consultations in our calendar which we hope will be of interest to our members and supporters. We strive to be accurate in these listings, so please contact us if you see an error or problem. The organisers of third-party events (coded blue) are mostly unconnected to us, and we have no control over these.
If you know of an event that you would like to see listed here, please let us know.
