Climate Conversations with the Greens @ Edinburgh Climate Festival

Take a break from browsing the stalls at Edinburgh Climate Festival and join a group discussion about climate, led by members of the Scottish Green Party from Edinburgh and Lothians.
- How can we get the next UK Government to take climate change seriously?
- How can we work together across the climate movement to influence politics?
- How should Government raise revenue to fund climate action and ensure climate justice?
Join Westminster MP candidates, Scottish Parliament staff and grassroots Green members to discuss the above and more. Come with any burning questions you want to put to the Greens. We look forward to meeting you!
Featuring candidates Amanda Grimm (Edinburgh East and Musselburgh), Jo Phillips (Edinburgh South) and Simon Jay (Bathgate and Linlithgow).
Start times for each round of conversations will be published closer to the time. Hot drinks will be provided.
More questions/ themes:
- Good things that are happening on climate at city- and country-level, through Edinburgh Council, the Scottish Parliament and Scottish Government
- Political barriers to more progress
- Why it’s so important that the next UK government treats climate change like the emergency it is
- How you can help make this happen!
